I’ve been directing a play over the past six weeks, and it’s been fraught with all the ups and downs that come from working with teenagers. But tonight, as we wrapped up our show for the season, and I listened to them talk about how they feel like a family and how important this was for them, none of the silly stuff matters.
And if I ever needed a reminder about why I made teaching a career all those years ago, I got it tonight.
Oh, and my darlings gave me flowers. Beautiful…yes?
