My first series will always have a special place in my heart. When I was asked to write these Long Island based books, the hook was that they were going to be billionaire romances. Now, I love a glitzy storyline as much as anyone, but I didn’t know if I could do a billionaire series justice. However, once I started brainstorming, it all came together. I began with my tech mogul, gave him two close friends who were also business partners, a dysfunctional family, and finally, I threw in the girl next door who was going to take him out at the knees. It was glorious and I was off and running.

Set on the north shore of Long Island, New York, the hamlet of Compass Cove is like many of the small towns that dot the hilly coast from the New York City line, all the way out to the rural North Fork. Having grown up in one of those towns, I wanted readers to be able to enjoy the closeness, and the security I knew growing up on Long Island. It’s a unique place, that’s often weighed down with stereotypes, but that’s not the place I know.
Compass Cove is a combination of some of my favorites villages that were settled right on the bays and harbors of Long Island Sound over three hundred years ago. Rich in history, and plenty of local lore, each town has a distinct personality, and finding the right mix for Compass Cove was the challenge. As you read about my characters and the place they call home, I hope you can imagine yourself having lunch at Rinaldi’s Café, enjoying a beer at the Dock’s End, or taking in a football game at Jennings College. It’s a very special place and I’m so happy I get to share it with you.
