Over the Moon with Kaylie Newell

Today I have the fabulous Kaylie Newell visiting to talk about what puts her OVER THE MOON! Check out her video and giveaway below!

Giveaway: Ebook copy of Lone Wolfe Protector. Comment below and tell us your favorite thing about your state!

Maggie Sullivan is back in Wolfe Creek, determined to find out why her best friend vanished one fog-shrouded night a year ago.  But it quickly becomes clear that if the folks in the secluded mountain town know what happened to her friend, they aren’t talking.

Seasoned sheriff’s deputy Koda Wolfe reluctantly agrees to help this beautiful woman, even as he tries to convince her to leave for her own good. Soon he’s compelled to protect Maggie from herself, his family’s ancient curse, and a killer who could strike again.

The nights heat up in more ways than one as Maggie and Koda begin a fiery relationship.  But as they delve deeper into the disappearance, the eerie woods come alive with secrets bound to tear them apart. And someone is watching their every move.

Kaylie Newell was born in the great state of Oregon, where she was raised alongside rivers and lakes and scruffy dogs that chased their tennis balls as far as Kaylie’s noodle arms could throw. As she grew, so did her imagination, and it didn’t take long to realize she was a romantic at heart. She began to fancy herself the future wife of a cowboy, the likes of which graced every paperback novel she could get her hands on. She decided to go to college in Oklahoma to snag herself one, but irony won over when she fell in love with a hippie in sheep’s clothing instead. Together, they came back to Oregon, started a family and watched their dreams unfold. Kaylie wrote her first book when her girls were toddlers, editing sex scenes with The Wiggles on in the background. She’s proud of many things in life, among them the fact that she can still recite her lines from Romeo and Juliet from her seventh grade play, the fact that she can set a grilled cheese sandwich on fire faster than most people can make one, but mostly she’s proud of the stories blossoming inside her noggin on a daily basis.

I live in NY and I love the variety that the state offers. There’s NYC & all the various cultural things to enjoy (Broadway, museums, art galleries, restaurants). And there’s the ocean off the coast of Long Island, and the LI Sound to the north. Not to mention that upstate has beautiful forests and rural areas that are a beautiful escape from the business of LI and NYC.

Maryland has water access to the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic, several large reservoirs for recreation, there are mountains, and valleys, horse country with rolling hills, and city life in Baltimore, small towns, etc… a little bit of everything and so close to our nation’s capital.

I live in Michigan & there are many great things about this state. We have the Great Lakes (as well as many other lakes & rivers), the Cherry Festival in Traverse City, the best fudge ever in Mackinac. And of course being able to show people where I live by using my hand as the map.

Minnesota is know as the land of 10,00 lakes and source of the Mississippi. I love walking around the lakes and I live about 1/4 mile from the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. I often walk along those bluffs with my pup.

I live in central Texas – luckily we escaped the deluge the coast and Houston area received. Right now my favorite part about my state is the people and how we are all pulling together to help those affected by Harvey .
